| TSR (Wizards of the Coast) | | I was just wondering whether there is a TSR (now Wizards of the Coast)Book being made into a film... we used to debate whether the Dragonlance Chronicles Movie was good, when it came out almost everyone was disappointed to find a CG enhanced cartoon.Is there a "live action" TSR movie in the works? would it be Dragonlance or Forgotten Realms? Either would be a good start, After watching AVATAR in IMAX I was impressed and wondered what LOTR would have been like if taken with IMAX technology?Chronicles or icewind dale in IMAX that would be awesome... | | Dragon age: origins--baldur's gate successor? | | Dragon age: origins from Bioware is coming out soon and I can't wait to get my grubby hands on it (http://dragonage.bioware.com/). It is suppose to be a spiritual successor of the baldur's gate series. What will you be playing these few months before it comes out? I'm thinking of replaying all the fantasy bioware games (baldur's gate, icewind dale, NWN and NWN2) to try and satisfy my itch for this new game! | |
| | The new R.A. Salvatore book I got for Christmas | | This year my boyfriend got me the 4th book in the 'Forgotten Realms' series. It's called 'Paths of Darkness' by R.A. Salvatore. The first ones are 'The Dark Elf Trilogy', 'the icewind dale trilogy', and 'Legacy of the Drow'. I've skipped 'The Cleric Quintet' for now because it's not directly related to my books, like a side quest. I've talked about these books before. It is a great series, if you like that sort of thing. Dwarves, elves, drow, orcs, humans, magic, weapons, good guys, and of course bad guys. They are full of graphic descriptions and big names that everyone thinks is something else, like the main good guy is 'Drizzt'. Actually, the first books weren't even about Drizzt, they were about a barbarian named Wulfgar who eventually met up with and befriended a dark elf. Readers of the series wanted more background on the drow, so RA Salvatore wrote a trilogy to explain how a dark elf had came out of the underworld into, the light, and had a pure heart. These two savage beings became inseperable.I'm probably making it sound like a love story, but believe me, it's full of blood and guts. I've read the books I have about 3... | |
